badnews : when the garage fitted your new turbo was the turbo new a recon or used did they change your oil and put a new oil feed from the block to the turbo because the oil feed pipe can carbon up because it is so close to the exhaust manifold also check the pipe to the inlet manifold to see if there is oil in it email me at badnews3@hotmail.co.uk

: Who can help me!!!!!i have an s14 the turbo had a fault witch i have now fixed but i have cut through and welded up the pipe that goes round the back of the engine from outlet manifold to inlet manifold and has not run right since. i think maybe managment system. Please ring me on 01709 581868 anytime.

emma : must admit they are rapid and i love nothing better than to race in it and u do get loads of looks !!!

emma : great car but very un reliable my boyfriend has just spent nearly 1000 trying to get his sorted and its still fucked too expensive !!!!!!

200sx speed freak!! : whats this all about...wake up boy!! must be s13...!!!!

twisty : my email is twisty2020@yahoo.co.uk i am sorry to hear about your turbo problems. have u had the the oil return pipe from the turbo modded to a wider one. because on the s13 the pipe is narrow and can get restricted over time with baked on oil. do u allow the engine to warm up before putting the foot down, and allow cool down down before switching of. and change oil every 3000 miles. if you know all this already then just i am sorry for teaching u to suck eggs. i am 10 year mechanic, i also own a 200sx s13 which i have had no probs with. was it u or the garage that said the turbo was shot. if it was the garage then ask yourself, 1 was the car lacking power dramaticaly. 2 was the turbo giving an excessive whistle noise if no for both questions then it could be something else. was the smoke coming through all the rev range or just at top end? if so check to see if the leads ontop of the spark plugs are ok, it has four screws ontop of each spark plug, when pulled of looks like a little trumpet, take the red trumpet of u will see a bush and spring if the spring is worn then replace all four units, if there is no power loss get a second opionion on etheir valve stem oil seals they should get changed about 100000 miles. if u could get in touch with email i will help the best can
