15-16 December 2001. I went to visit Dr Rob Brooks in Hannover. Only a 6 hour drive away at a moderate pace.
Hannover is a strange place,
There are some nicer things about Hannover. (not many, it's a big city with not alot there!) But you can go Ice scating in the towncenter. And is your really good, use your phone at the same time to send a SMS.
In the Chrismas market Weihnachtsmarkt you can buy a mug of hot wine to warm up, and a Brat Wurst or two to keep you going. Once you've warmed up you can watch Michael Shoemaker Jnr demonstrate the new 3 seater F1 car.
It doesn't take long to get bored with Hannover, the are other thing to see near by... A big Castle in the woods, It looks like castle wolfenstein. After all this exploing we got hungry, so back to the car for some doughnuts ;-)
On Sunday the sun came out so we went to Celle (North west of Hannover) and guess what... there was another castle
In conclusion Hannover is not the nices place, unless you enjoy getting lost in a badly signposted city then go somewhere else. Ulm is a great place, with much more snow! If you want to visit give me a call, there's plenty of space at castle Campbell.
